HEAD OF PEOPLE & CULTURE - Permanent full-time

Lead, inspire and shape culture

As the Head of People & Culture you will lead the development, implementation and monitoring of People & Culture strategies that support the successful delivery of GMCU’s Strategic Plan and priorities.

As a key part of GMCU’s Senior Leadership Team, you’ll oversee all People functions, including Workplace Health, Safety & Wellbeing, recruitment and retention, workplace relations, performance management, and learning and development. Working closely with the Executive team, you’ll also play a key role in fostering employee engagement and building a strong, values-driven organisational culture.

About You

  • You’re professionally qualified: You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related business discipline.

  • You lead with impact: You have a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop diverse teams, fostering a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven culture.
  • You build capability: You are experienced in coaching, mentoring and delivering professional development programs that uplift team capability and drive organisational success.
  • You know your frameworks: You have a strong understanding of HR, IR and Workplace Health & Safety legislation, and experience applying and evolving policies, procedures and business-wide frameworks to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • You communicate with influence: You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including community organisations.
  • You present with confidence: You have experience preparing and delivering high-quality reports and insights to a variety of audiences, including Board and management, to support informed decision-making.

BRANCH MANAGER - Full time, Echuca and Kyabram

Lead, inspire and drive growth in your community

As Branch Manager you’ll be at the forefront of shaping financial success for our members and communities. The Branch Manager role isn’t just a leadership role – it is an opportunity to lead making a meaningful difference in the lives of our members and the Echuca and Kyabram communities. You will champion portfolio and lending growth, building strong member relationships and deliver tailored solutions to meet members financial needs. The core focus of the role will be on driving lending growth through sales and member acquisition strategies while building trusted partnerships that strengthen our presence in the Echuca and Kyabram region. Collaborating closely with our leadership team, you will play a key role in business development initiatives that elevate our profile and unlock new growth opportunities.

You will provide high level oversight of branch operations and empower the team to deliver efficient and exceptional member experiences.
