About the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering key strategic and operational projects that support GMCU’s organisational objectives and goals. The Project Manager will work on a variety of transformation and regulatory programs across the organisation, manage projects from inception to implementation and contribute to the broader GMCU strategic and operational plans. The Project Manager will also be responsible for building and embedding project management methodologies and capability across the organisation whilst delivering high quality outcomes.

About the Role

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering key strategic and operational projects that support GMCU’s organisational objectives and goals. The Project Manager will work on a variety of transformation and regulatory programs across the organisation, manage projects from inception to implementation and contribute to the broader GMCU strategic and operational plans.


The Project Manager will also be responsible for building and embedding project management methodologies and capability across the organisation whilst delivering high quality outcomes. 


Key Responsibilities Include

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that consider business requirements, operational and project constraints, and interdependencies and that successfully deliver projects on time and according to the quality requirements.
  • Monitor, track and report on project schedule, activities and deliverables.
  • Develop, implement and update resource allocation plans needed for projects, making optimal use of internal and contracted resources.
  • Foster collaborative relationships and engage stakeholders in task allocation and deliverables to support project goals and whole-of-business outcomes.
  • Report on project activities and progress, identify issues, and proactively manage risk to ensure timely and informed decisions.
  • Support project and business teams to transition programs and sustain change to ensure benefit realisation.
  • Develop, implement and review policies, procedures and frameworks to support effective project management and increase capability across the organisation. 
  • Perform project evaluation and assessment of results, lessons learned and ensures that ownership of outstanding activities are assigned.
  • Determine and manage project communication strategy to ensure project team, stakeholders and Executive/Management are informed of project status.


About You (Key Selection Criteria for this role)

  • You have demonstrated project management skills and experience preferably within professional or financial services organizations. 
  • Experience within the Ultracs Core Banking System (and other programs within the Ultracs suite).
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly, set priorities, organise work and allocate resources to deliver project outcomes effectively and efficiently
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to manage relationships effectively and consultatively with a diverse range of internal & external stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality. 
  • You have a keen eye for detail with demonstrated experience and an understanding of agile and modern project methodologies.  
  • You have excellent computer skills including advanced MS Excel skills.  
  • Working autonomously to meet tight deadlines and prioritise your workload comes naturally. 
  • Ability to participate as an active and positive member of your team at work. 
  • The ability to successfully meet GMCU’s pre-employment screening requirements.
  • Certification in Project Management and exposure to FinTech products is highly desirable

Lending Officer – Benalla Branch, Permanent-Full time

About the Role

The Lending Officer provides efficient, professional and confidential lending services direct to members, supporting the Branch Manager and the broader GMCU network in the delivery of residential, personal and business lending, whilst ensuring that compliance with all relevant regulations, legislation and licences is met. 

The Lending Officer also undertakes review, administration and settlement activities and support the delivery of credit control activities across GMCU.

About You (Key Selection Criteria)

  • You hold Tier 2 certification or have the ability to successfully complete within two months of commencement.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to manage relationships effectively and consultatively with a diverse range of internal & external stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality. 
  • Ability to participate as an active and positive member of your team at work. 
  • Exceptional time management with the ability to manage evolving priorities to meet tight deadlines.
  • You have a keen eye for detail. 
  • The ability to successfully meet GMCU’s pre-employment screening requirements.
